Preschool Combo Classes (Ballet/Tap, Jazz/Acro)
These classes are designed specifically for our small dancers ages 3 through 5 (Jazz/Acro is ages 4-6). The classes teach children the beginning fundamentals of ballet, tap, jazz, and/or acro. Ballet includes the learning of ballet vocabulary, across the floor, and center technique. Tap and jazz include stretching, introductory skills and technique. Acro includes fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, cartwheels, back bends, and balance tricks.
Students may wear any type of dance attire* and hair must be pulled back away from face. Ballet/Tap classes will need pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Jazz/Acro classes can wear tan jazz shoes for jazz and will go barefoot for Acro. Each class will perform 1 routine in each production.

Ballet
Ballet classes are offered from a beginner level to advanced. Students are taught proper body placement, body alignment, barre and center floor work, along with across the floor combinations. Beginner classes introduce vocabulary, proper alignment, and classical ballet technique. Advanced classes include adagio and allegro work, and combinations using balance, strength, and style. In addition Pointe is offered. All students are urged to study ballet, as it is the foundation of all other dance styles and facilitates further success in these disciplines.

Students will be required to wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be secured in a bun. Each class will perform 1 routine in each production. Classes that meet 2x per week will only have 1 routine.

Tap
Tap is a style involving rhythm, dynamics, and varying sounds. Tappers will have a graduated warm-up to loosen their ankles and knees for proper execution of skills, across the floor progressions and have center floor work to learn and perfect new skills.

Students may wear any type of dance attire* and black tap shoes (tan tap shoes are for combo classes only). Hair should be secure and off of the face. Each class will perform 1 routine in each production.

Jazz
Jazz classes are fun and energetic. They include such elements as kicks, leaps, turns, splits, and isolations. Classes include stretch and strengthening exercises, floor work, and across the floor progressions in addition to center floor combinations.

Students may wear any type of dance attire* and tan jazz shoes. Hair should be secure and off of the face. Each class will perform 1 routine in each production.

Lyrical
Lyrical is a style of dance that uses the emotion and mood of the music to elicit movements from the dancers. Students have a warm up focusing on core strength and flexibility. The class includes floor work, progressions, and center combinations.

Students may wear any type of dance attire* and either jazz shoes, pirouettes, or something similar. Hair should be secure and off of the face. Each class will perform 1 routine in each production.

Leaps & Turns
Leaps & Turns is a technique class focusing on various jumps, leaps, and turns. Classes will start with a warm-up, which will consist of stretching and conditioning followed by center work and across the floor progressions.

Students may wear any type of dance attire* and either jazz shoes, pirouettes, or something similar. Hair should be secure and off of the face. These classes are technique only and will not participate in performances.

Hip Hop
Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Students may wear any clothing that allows free body movement and tennis shoes/sneakers. Each class will perform 1 routine in each production.

Acro
Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance and contortion tricks. Advanced classes will also incorporate tumbling tricks such as handsprings and aerials. Classes will constist of stretching, conditioning, and practicing tricks down the mat.

Students may wear any type of dance attire* and will go barefoot. Hair should be secure and off of the face. Each class will perform 1 routine in each production.

Adult Tap
Adult classes are open to adults and high school students. These classes are designed for the adult dancer. Classes are open to dancers of all levels.

PBT Classes
Progressing Ballet Technique is a unique and innovative program developed to help students understand the depth of muscle memory, core stability, weight placement and correct turnout to accelerate their ballet training. For required equipment and more info click here.

Lyrical/Contemporary
Contemporary is an expressive style of dance that combines elements of modern, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid movements. This is a high level placement class that will incorporate contemporary movement to their previous lyrical training.
Levels 2-4 dancers will need to complete an assessment prior to enrollment and is by teacher recommendation only.

This class focuses on further developing strong technical skills used in jazz combos such as leaps, turns, extension, performance, and more. This is a high level placement class that involves advanced across the floor progressions in addition to center floor combos.
